Olivije Zimonja visited the Memorial Center of Republika Srpska today.

Olivije Zimonja, Head of the High-Tech Crime Unit at the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, visited the Memorial Center of Republika Srpska today.

During the meeting with the Director of the Memorial Center of Republika Srpska, Denis Bojić, they discussed contemporary challenges in the field of high-tech crime, with a special focus on the protection of digital infrastructure, databases, electronic devices, and the overall information security of the institution.

Taking into account the importance of the archival material that the Memorial Center collects, preserves, and processes, special attention was given to data security issues, the prevention of misuse, as well as mechanisms for protection against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation between institutions in the field of digital security, particularly regarding institutions that preserve sensitive historical, archival, and memorial material of national importance.

The Memorial Center of Republika Srpska continues to enhance its capacities in the field of data protection and information security, fully aware of the responsibility that comes with preserving historical memory and documentation of lasting value for Republika Srpska.
