Why is the legacy important?

A legacy is a collection of testimonies, recordings, documents, or other materials that individuals, families, associations, or researchers have already gathered and wish to entrust to the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska. Such materials often arise from a personal sense of responsibility toward the truth and the desire that the voices of witnesses do not remain only in private archives.

Recorded testimonies, audio and video recordings, transcripts, photographs, and accompanying data can become a valuable part of our database and platform. In this way, personal memories gain a permanent place in the culture of remembrance, becoming available for processing, research, and dignified presentation to future generations.

Fill out the form and briefly describe the legacy you wish to donate or propose for processing. Our team will contact you to arrange the method of handover, technical verification of the materials, usage rights, and the possibility of preserving the collection within the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska.
