PRIVACY POLICY

The purpose of the Memorial Center's Privacy Policy is to provide all individuals whose personal data is processed with basic information about that processing in a transparent manner, in accordance with Article 14 of the Law on Personal Data Protection (hereinafter referred to as the Law).


1. Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

The Memorial Center processes your personal data in accordance with Article 8, while performing its tasks and powers.

2. What are your rights regarding the processing of personal data?

  • Right to object
  • Right of access to your personal data (In exercising this right, you may request detailed information, in particular about the purpose of the processing, the type/categories of personal data being processed (including access to your own personal data), the recipients or categories of recipients, and the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored. Access to personal data may be restricted only in cases where a special law prescribes such a restriction in order to respect the rights and freedoms of others.)
  • Right to rectification of personal data (You have the right to request the correction or completion of your personal data if your data is inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date. Please note that in the request it is necessary to state what is inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date and in what way it should be corrected, and to provide the necessary documentation in support of your statements.)
  • Right to erasure (Your personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which we collected it, if there is no legal basis for processing your personal data; you have lodged an objection to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 23, paragraph (1) of the Law, and if there are no other legal grounds for processing; the personal data has been unlawfully processed;)
  • Exceptions to the right to erasure (For the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information; for compliance with a legal obligation or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest; for archiving purposes in the public interest, for scientific or historical research purposes, in accordance with Article 56, paragraph (1), to the extent that the exercise of the right from paragraph (1) is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of the objectives of that processing; or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims).


3. Security of personal data

The Memorial Center processes your personal data in a manner that ensures appropriate security and confidentiality, as well as the appropriate application of the principles of lawful processing of personal data, data minimization, the principle of necessity, respect for the retention period of personal data, and their availability.


4. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Memorial Center will regularly update the Privacy Policy to ensure it contains accurate information. You will be timely informed of all amendments and supplements in accordance with the principle of transparency.
