Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Veterans of the Republic of Srpska

The Vice President of the Assembly of the “Veterans of the Republic of Srpska” Association, Vladimir Grujić, and the Director of the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska, Denis Bojić, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today in Banja Luka, with the aim of preserving the truth and preventing the rewriting of the history of the Serbian people.

Bojić emphasized that cooperation with the Veterans of the Republic of Srpska will contribute to joint efforts in protecting historical truth and the Republic of Srpska, and that this agreement will serve as one of the bulwarks for preserving identity and memory. “Our mission is to record all available testimonies about the suffering of the Serbian people in the territory of the Republic of Srpska, as well as beyond,” he stressed.

According to him, the Veterans of the Republic of Srpska will provide significant support to the mission of the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska through their capacities, experience, and logistical assistance. The Center’s database already contains the largest number of firsthand testimonies, primarily from parents of fallen soldiers and others who testify about the suffering of the Serbian people.

Bojić announced that this testimony database will be officially available to the public by January 9 – Republic Day – as part of the future Multimedia Museum dedicated to the creation of the Republic of Srpska.

The Vice President of the “Veterans of the Republic of Srpska” Association, Vladimir Grujić, emphasized that their joint interest and strategic goal is to preserve the memory of fallen soldiers and civilians, and to pass the truth on to present and future generations. “We will ensure that our children are educated and taught how things really happened,” said Grujić, adding that all capacities of the association will be put at the service of implementing the projects of the Memorial Center.

The Director of the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska, Denis Bojić, also stated that it is necessary to stand in defense of the institutions of the Republic and President Milorad Dodik. “The politically orchestrated process against the President means that we all must defend the President and the institution he leads. Simply put, the moment requires it of us,” Bojić stated.

He recalled a slogan from the 1990s: “On the defense of the homeland,” emphasizing that this message remains relevant today and is needed more than ever.
