The Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska proudly announces the launch of a unique audio-visual series dedicated to the era of the creation of the Republic of Srpska. The podcast "Fatherland" (Otadžbina) explores the culture of remembrance, testimonies, and the understanding of the time during which the Republic of Srpska was established. Through a series of conversations, a wide spectrum of topics will be covered—from strategic military operations and direct participant testimonies to the development of culture, sports, medicine, and other segments of the Republic of Srpska’s society during the turning points of our history, with a special focus on its position in international circumstances during the 1990s.

The goal of the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska is to use the podcast format to hear the authentic voices of those who shaped our reality. We will host both well-known public figures and less-exposed individuals whose quiet but immeasurable contributions were of decisive importance for the survival and building of the Republic of Srpska and its statehood.

The Director of the Memorial Center of the Republic of Srpska, Denis Bojić, emphasized that as an institution of republican significance performing activities of general and national interest for the Republic of Srpska, we wish to illuminate every segment of the creation of the Republic of Srpska, its life, and the struggle for its survival that marked the 1990s and continues today. Through the stories of contemporaries, we leave a permanent record for new generations that transcends mere statistics and political interpretations. Because history is not just dates and years—it is people and their stories.
